The vision of Four Corners School of Outdoor Education is to build a diverse community of people who are committed to conserving the natural and cultural treasures of the Colorado Plateau.Four Corners School of Outdoor Education operates four education, service, adventure, and conservation programs that create lifelong learning experiences for different members of our community in our efforts to serve people of all ages and backgrounds.SouthWest Ed-Ventures, Adventure Education with a Mission and Expert GuidesBioregional Outdoor Education Program, Outdoor Education for K-8 TeachersCanyon Country Youth Corps, Employment, Education, and LeadershipCanyon Country Discovery Center, Place-based Learning about the Colorado PlateauSince 1984, FCS has provided a wide range of place-based outdoor education programs for some 95,308 participants, ranging in age from 6 to 90. FCS has provided over 113,902 hours of youth and adult service on public lands, 829,000 hours of student/youth outdoor education, 274,000 hours of adult outdoor education, and 116,800 hours of teacher training in outdoor education. The School has awarded 200 teacher scholarships for our outdoor programs; repaired or rehabilitated hundreds of miles of roads, springs, and trails; and worked to protect over 33 archaeological sites on public land.Please visit our website for details on our programs and to watch a video on the campaign for the construction of the Discovery Center.
